Colors, Culture, and Celebration: Jalpa’s Wedding in Goa

Let’s take a step back to 2016. We were preparing Jalpa for a friend’s wedding at a house near the Expo in Lisbon. Jalpa was already a regular client for such occasions. At the end of the preparation, she looked at me (Andreia) and Rita and said, “I’d love for you to do my makeup for my wedding.” We thought she was joking, as she had already told us she was getting married in Goa, which sounded incredible to us.
Two days later, Jalpa called and asked if we had thought about her proposal. Unfortunately, Rita couldn’t make it on those dates, but I (Andreia) agreed to go ahead with the makeup. I was over the moon!
In January 2017, I traveled to Goa to do Jalpa’s makeup for three unforgettable days of ceremonies at a breathtaking hotel. The sunsets, vibrant colors, rich culture, and beautiful celebrations made this one of the most wonderful experiences of my career.
